One of the most frequented emails I receive is how to make money for kids. Teaching a youngster the valuable assets of money management is not taught in school but instead, taught in real life. And the best way to teach them is with their own, hard earned money. At a young age however, its hard to learn how to make money.
As a kid, its very difficult to find a way to make money. Even if we weren’t in a recession, its still difficult because you don’t have a lot of experience, employers are weary to the fact that you’ll probably only be temporary, and you’ll have to compete with all of the other Summer job hunters. So how to make money for kids becomes a key issue growing up.
Now I know how it is, when I was 16, I found myself hanging around the local Home Depot asking any contractor that passed if they needed any help. Although it was very little money, I gained a lot of experience and learned a lot about contracting. This helped me when I started rehabbing homes and is also the reason I haven’t posted in a few days. I’ve been helping a friend with a flip and he asked me to do some of the sheet rocking, flooring, and plumbing in an effort to cut costs as much as possible, so I’ve been busy with that lately. I now have a little free time so I put together a list on how to make money for kids.
I could have put the usual stuff that you see whenever you type How to make money for kids into a Google search. You know, the start a lemonade stand or mow a lawn type of non sense that mostly every kid already knows about. Those avenues work if you live in a small town where everyone knows each other. I grew up in the Bronx, New York, where it was difficult to find anyone interested in having their windows washed by some strange kid. Unfortunately, one of the most prominent ways to make money through blogging is AdSense. AdSense requires you to be 18 and up so it’s very difficult to make money blogging under the age of 18. The marketing of your website will be the most important aspect in your quest to make lots of money. It’s like I used to tell all of my old clients at the marketing firm:
“You can have the next Mona Lisa as your product, but if people don’t know about it, you won’t make a penny.”
Lets be real here, our main purpose in starting a website is to make money. Yes, your website may be based off something that you’re passionate about or have good heart roots, but if I was to say you can make money off your good cause website, you wouldn’t turn that down. If you would, this site isn’t for you.
Making money on the web with internet marketing
Congratulations! You’ve been accepted into the eBay affiliate program and are ready to start earning! This is the hardest part, and the reason I asked you to choose a niche which was highly sought after with relatively low competition and you were passionate about. The reason that I wanted you to be passionate about the subject all boils down to the content you will produce. Content is your bread and butter when it comes to attracting the likes of Google, Yahoo!, and other big name search engines. Without exposure to your website from search engines, you won’t make lots of money.
Search engines do a thing called “crawling” where they have their bots scan your page on a scheduled basis to find out if you’ve introduced new content to the page. All the while, they are looking for keywords that help them understand what the page is exactly about. That is mainly what they’re looking for, to see how often you update your page with fresh content. Because of that, it is important that you update, and update often! If you choose a subject that you aren’t passionate about, you’ll quickly run out of things to talk about and lose traffic rapidly.
Now on that same note, please don’t post 20 articles on your page in one day and then not post anything for several weeks thinking that those 20 articles should satisfy the bots for weeks. The truth is, these bots don’t operate on a “what have you done for me recently basis”, instead it is a “what are you doing for me right now” basis. What that means is if say the bot crawls your page every 5 days for new content, if it finds the 20 new articles on its crawl and then returns in another 5 days to find nothing, that will hurt your rankings with the search engine and will hurt your Quick Cash chances. I tend to update my articles based on how often the bot scans my site. That is the good thing about HostGator, their cPanel awestats page shows when each bot has crawled your page.
If you use WordPress, you can actually write a whole bunch of websites and create a drip feed where you basically schedule when the articles will be posted on your website. This is a good method if you only have a day or two free a week. Like I said, if you want to make money, you’ve got to sacrifice your free time now, so that you can be successful later.
A good starter would be read the Google Search Engine Optimization Starter Guide, a free .pdf file that will give you a rounded knowledge of SEO.
How do I get the search engines to recognize my web site and get pay offs from my internet marketing?
There are actually several ways in which you can get the search engines to begin crawling your site. My recommendation is to use the most natural approach as possible. Due to our age of SPAM, search engines have based their crawling techniques on weeding out those that spam and fill the web with junk in artificial ways.
When I use WordPress, every article I publish is automatically pinged to the search engines to tell them that I’ve posted a new article. However, when I use a BANS site, I will normally submit a separate article to eZinearticles.com with a link to my page. These article sites have a high Page Ranking and are constantly crawled by search engines. So if you have a link to your page on the site, the search engines will find it and put it on the list of pages to crawl.
Another way would be to submit your pages to as many search engines as possible. Whenever I do this, I use Web CEO to submit my site to over 100 search engines. They have a free version which I love and once you get the cash up, you can further enhance your site with the Premium edition.

Where should I put my content to make me money?
I tell everyone that wants to get into affiliate marketing websites in which they will be promoting a product to follow in one of the biggest selling sites on the planet, Amazon.com. Look at their pages, they incorporate not only their product for sale, but tons of content about the site full of bold keywords and consumer reviews. They get so many consumer reviews on a daily basis and guess what? It all adds content to their site, for free! This is how the people at Amazon have become so successful and has made them lots of money.
So on every store page, I recommend you put your auctions first. Remember, first impression is always the most important, so when they see auctions on your site, that is what will be imprinted in their memory for the life of their visit. If you’ve signed up with HostGator then all you have to do is scroll down on your Control Panel to Software/Services and click “Fantastico De Luxe”, from there you will see on the left side “WordPress.” Click that option and follow the steps necessary to complete the installation to make your own website.

What is the eBay Affiliate Program and how to make lots of money from it:
The eBay Partner Network, eBay’s Affiliate Program, is by my standards and many others, the most profitable way to create an income on the internet. Check around the internet, this program will make you money.
What is the eBay Affiliate Program
In order to further promote eBay, the company decided to create the eBay affiliate program. They would allow its affiliates to post eBay auctions directly on their website. A specific affiliate code is implanted into the java script code associated with the auction and when a visitor of the web site clicked that auction, a cookie would be placed on their computer and any, and I mean any, purchase made on eBay would be tracked back to the affiliate. If the visitor bids and wins the auction, the affiliate is awarded a commission based on the winning bid price, and this is how to make lots of money.

Once they accept you into their affiliate program, you can choose to use their widgets to post auctions on your site or you can either use BANS or the Wordpress plugin, phpBay. BANS is very friendly for the inexperienced or newbies to websites and eBay affiliates as it will include a detailed instruction manual with every purchase. PhpBay is very effective for those who use WordPress, a blogging platform that Google seems to have fallen in love with.
